Marc Fain
Marc Fain – Bass
Current Bass Player for “Flannel”, A Tribute to the Grunge Era. I have been a bassist for a little over 20 years now. My primary “axe” of choice, is a Fender “PJ” bass, along with an Epiphone Thunderbird, & still have my first bass as well, a 1982 NJ Series B.C. Rich Warlock. I am currently playing thru a Gallien Krueger 8×10 cab, with A Gallien Krueger Backline 600 head. Also have a Crate single 15 cab, & another 4×10 GK on the way. Love the tones I get from it. One of the best investments I ever made. And am currently using DR strings on all basses.
I am a self taught bassist, with a wide range of influences. Some of the bigger ones bass wise, John Paul Jones, Jeff Ament, Adam Clayton, Geezer Butler, Nikki Sixx, Duff McKagan, Robert DeLeo, to name a few. Would like to think I’ve incorporated a little of all of them into my playing in some way over the years.
The 90′s Grunge Era was a very special time for me, as I was still in my teens at that point, and the music was definitely a good kick in the ass for me. Still to this day, whenever I hear stuff like Pearl Jam’s first album, or Alice In Chains’ “Dirt”, it takes me right back to that great time in my life, & reminds me of some really good friends and really good times as well. Grunge is definitely not dead my friends, it lives and breathes still to this day, & Flannel will definitely bring it to ya live, that I promise you. Come check us out, & we’ll prove it to ya!
